Attorney General's Statement

The nation's top law enforcement official, Pam Bondi, accepted Habba's resignation on Monday. Bondi stated that the judicial decision made it "untenable" for the official to lead the department effectively.

"Do not interpret following the order as giving up," she wrote. "The effort will now stretch across the nation."
