The House investigative committee has published a collection of around 70 photos from the estate of late found guilty individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third such release from a cache of in excess of 95,000 photos the panel has acquired from Epstein's estate. It features pictures of passages from the literary work Lolita written across a female's body, and censored images of female foreign passports.

This action occurs hours before the 19th of December deadline for the Department of Justice to make public all records associated with its investigation into Epstein.

"These photographs raise additional queries about what exactly the DOJ has in its holdings," stated the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Made Public

A number of the images published on recently show Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned alongside a female whose face is censored; Steve Bannon seated at a workstation facing Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the latest affluent, prominent men to be photographed in Epstein property photographs published by the House Oversight Committee - previously released images also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, ex- US treasury secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Showing up in the photographs is is not considered indication of any illegal activity, and a number of the featured individuals have said they were not involved in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a statement issued alongside the photo release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein property holders did not supply background information or dates for the photographs.

"Photos were picked to provide the public with clarity into a typical cross-section of the photographs acquired from the property, and to provide insights into Epstein's network and his exceptionally disturbing activities," the statement says.

The disclosure also contains several images of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita penned in black ink across different parts of a female's body, including her chest, feet, hip, and back. Lolita recounts the story of a young girl who was groomed by a older literature professor.

A particular quote from the novel inscribed across a female's torso states, "Lolita: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the palate to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a number of photos of female travel documents and identification documents from nations worldwide, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the details on the papers, such as names and dates of birth, is obscured but the panel stated in a press release that the travel documents are associated with "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were interacting with".

Another photo depicts Epstein sitting at a table in close proximity surrounded by three women whose faces have been obscured - one individual has her hand on Epstein's torso under his clothing, and another individual is leaning to look at a adjacent laptop. Epstein appears to be assisting the third attach a piece of jewelry.

A further photograph made public is a image of digital messages from an unidentified individual who states they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are asking for "$one thousand dollars per female".

Image Release Occurs Prior to DOJ Cut-off

The body has thousands of photographs in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "both graphic and everyday," its press release on Thursday explained.

The Congressional committee first issued a subpoena to the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while facing trial on charges of human trafficking, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein property gave to the panel are different than what is largely termed "the Epstein files". That material are papers within the justice department's control related to its independent inquiry into Epstein.

Pursuant to the recently passed law, which President Trump signed into law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its documents. The scope of what is contained in the DOJ's documents is unknown, and it's likely that a large amount of the information will be extensively censored, comparable to Congressional releases
