Beloved Star Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Known For Appearances in Seinfeld and The Middle, Dies at 60 Years Old.

US entertainer Pat Finn, who featured in popular television series including "Friends", "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has succumbed aged 60.

The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles this Monday after undergoing treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, per news outlets.

"He never met a stranger - solely future friends he had yet to meet," his relatives shared in a statement.

They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with joy and exuberance".

An Extensive Career on Screen

His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.

He was also seen in a recurring role on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.

He appeared as the character Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in the late 90s, depicting a party host who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.

In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of hit series, such as:

  • "King of Queens"
  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • "House"

His most famous role for playing the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight series from 2011 to 2018.

His cinematic roles are It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.

Off-Screen Life

Outside of his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and also taught at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.

He was involved with a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.

"Pat taught, supported, and inspired countless students throughout the years and it would be difficult to find someone who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," he posted on social media.

Pat Finn is remembered by his spouse Donna, his children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
